Pediatric Orthopedic Clinic
St. John's Child Development Center offers regularly scheduled Pediatric Orthopaedic consultation for children with neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Stephanie Otis and Dr. David Anderson provide experienced, fellowship-trained orthopaedic expertise in the areas of cerebral palsy, hypotonia, congenital foot and lower extremity problems, traumatic brain injury, and a host of other developmental conditions. Initial and follow-up evaluations are conducted in the setting of the Center in conjunction with a therapist who is familiar with the child. Holding the clinic in this setting provides a familiar, relaxed atmosphere in which children and parents are comfortable and at ease.
Treatments offered include Physical and Occupational Therapy, strengthening programs, bracing and orthotic treatment, Botox injections, serial casting, and when needed, orthopaedic surgery. In addition, a video gait evaluation program is being developed.
Appointments for the Neuro-Orthopaedic Clinic can be made through the office of Drs. Anderson and Otis. To schedule, contact Terri Long at 314-983-4700, and ask to be seen at the Child Development Center; you can also reach the Center at 314-872-3345.
